Where it began.
It started in a kitchen, at dusk, when the day was finally quiet enough to hear what my body had been trying to tell me.
I'd spent years managing a health picture that nobody seemed to have a complete answer for. PCOS. Hormonal acne that had been with me my whole life. IBS that flared whenever stress did. Insomnia that turned nights into long, overhead conversations with my own anxiety.
I went through Accutane hoping it might be the final answer for my skin. Within a week of stopping, I was breaking out again.
The health picture.
What I eventually learned — through obsessive research and a lot of expensive appointments — was that my symptoms weren't separate problems. They were one picture. The hormonal acne and the IBS and the insomnia and the PCOS were all connected through the same underlying systems: hormonal imbalance, liver function, gut-brain axis disruption, chronic low-grade inflammation.
No single pharmaceutical addressed all of it. And no tea on the market did either. Most functional teas pick one lane — sleep or skin or energy. None of them spoke to a woman with a complex, layered health picture and said: I see you. I was formulated for you.
The kitchen experiments.
So I started blending. Herbs I'd researched obsessively, weighed on a kitchen scale, steeped, tasted, adjusted. Spearmint for the androgens driving my acne. Burdock and dandelion root for my liver — critical after Accutane. Passionflower for the nights my mind wouldn't stop. Peppermint and marshmallow root for the IBS flare-ups.
Something shifted. Not overnight — herbs don't work overnight, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. But over weeks of consistent ritual, I felt it. Clearer skin. Calmer nights. Mornings that felt possible again.
I named the brand Moon Dusk because that's when I first started — at dusk, in the threshold between the life I had and the life I was choosing. That moment felt important. It still does.
Why it had to look beautiful.
I've always believed that what you put in your body should be as beautiful as what you put on it. My skincare shelf is curated and intentional. My medicine cabinet and my pantry should be too.
Most functional herbal teas are packaged like supplements — clinical, forgettable, something you tuck away in a drawer. I wanted Moon Dusk to live on the counter. To be the thing you reach for at the end of a hard day because it's beautiful and it works and the ritual of making it is its own form of care.
So every detail was designed with that in mind. The matte black tins. The gold foil. The colour of the tea in the cup — the deep ruby of Goddess Eclipse, the golden amber of Lunar Rest. Beautiful by design, not as an afterthought.
The mission.
Moon Dusk Co. exists for every woman who has her own complex, real, specific health picture — and deserves a tea that actually speaks to it. Who has tried everything. Who is tired of products that address one symptom and ignore the rest. Who wants her wellness ritual to look as good as her skincare shelf.
We make five teas. We make them with the finest organic herbs, sourced with intention, formulated with real research behind every percentage. And we make them beautifully — because you deserve that too.
